This is the specific page for contributions for mediation and group facilitation! For the general page see here.
Thank you for reading this text about my financial approach. A thorough understanding of it is essential for this approach to work.
I offer all I do without a fixed price, choosing mutual gift and radical trust. It is not free.
I ask you to contribute with the highest amount you can offer, without overstretching or resentment. I want to cover my own sustainability and keep my heart open to this approach.
This model allows me to make training, mediation, coaching, etc., accessible to all, including those with less resources, while also recognising my work. I support a maternal gift economy inspired by Nonviolent Communication, where resources flow toward needs. I am choosing this approach to contribute to the kind of resource flow system that I dream for the world.
I wish to offer this to others as an experiment in co-responsibility and sharing.
For Workshops, other events, coaching and individual accompaniment or 1-to-1 training, see the main contribution and access page.
Mediation and group facilitation
Mediation and group facilitation cover a broad range of possibilities. The dynamics are often complex. Mediation may refer directly to a painful conflict between mostly two people, sometimes more. It can concern situations at work, with a neighbour, or in a couple. A group of any size can seek facilitation for large conflicts, or they may need support for decision making.
There is another type of work that concerns support to groups that I am offering to co-design their dialogical systems of agreements, of which I speak further down.
As such, given the variety of what you may wish support for, it is even harder for me to provide any range of indicative costs. Below, I try nonetheless to provide some broad reference for a few specific cases.
The indicative range for the average hourly fee I would like to receive is:
A) for each individual preparatory sessions (that I consider necessary):
B) for online or in-person mediation sessions between two people (exceptionally up to 3–4):
C) For sessions held exclusively in person (following preparatory meetings) with groups of 4–5 people or more:
PLEASE NOTE: in the case of groups and more complex projects, we will work out the details of the intervention – including the approach, duration and other aspects – together, on a bespoke basis, taking into account distance, travel times and costs, and any accommodation requirements.
This is all the more true for longer-term projects where I support various types of organisations to co-design their system of agreements in one or more of these areas:
This kind of work is described in the page “for organisations and communities”, while the theory of my approach, and its origin, is described in the page on “dialogical systems”.
We will reach an agreement through dialogue, taking into account everyone’s needs and financial circumstances, whilst considering the nature of the context in which I am working. In particular, whilst my basic living costs remain the same, I am keen to support initiatives that resonate with my worldview – such as communities, ecovillages, parent-run schools and the non-profit sector – and I am sensitive to any financial constraints they may face.
Please come to me even if you can't afford it ;-)
While I value reciprocity and recognition, I remain flexible:
If even the minimum is impossible for you, I still want you to participate and that you offer what you can, even nothing, without compromising your essential needs.
If you are in any of these situations, or have doubts, discomfort or any question, I invite you to speak with me. I would joyfully explore more of what makes sense for you and me.
Thank you wholeheartedly for reading!
